I live in coldest country in the WORLD – drivers don't need gadgets to defrost windows… door button does it for you | The Sun

A MAN who lives in the world's coldest country revealed drivers don't need fancy gadgets to defrost their windows – just one button can do it for you.

De-icing your motor in the morning can be a frustrating and time consuming process, but this little-known hack could help you out.

In a video posted to TikTok, one driver from Canada demonstrated a trick he uses to clear his windows when he's out of option.

According to WorldAtlas.com, Canada is known as "the coldest country in the world" because it includes northern arctic and sub-arctic regions.

The interesting technique works by inching the window down little by little to create a scrapping action – without actually doing any work.

It's also important to note, drivers should be careful not to go too fast as snow or ice could end up falling back into the car.

Some viewers advised using something to push away any snow that sits on the top of the window to help prevent this.

Eventually, after several attempts of rolling the window up and down, drivers should be left with a crystal clear view of the road.

A motors whizz has shared their cheap 2p hack for de-icing a windscreen in just seconds.

In a video posted to TikTok by Nicole Jaques, the savvy mum shared her super-fast de-icing method.

"All you need to do is fill a bag with warm water when the weather's caused your car to ice over and then rub it over your windshield and in seconds you'll be ready to go.

"Even better, you'll keep your hands nice and toasty while you're doing it."

But, it is important to note you should never pour hot or warm water directly onto your windscreen – or it will crack.

Drivers were also shocked when another car expert shared their de-icing hack that involves a common fruit.

The video was uploaded to TikTok by @succhefful and it has stunned viewers.

You simple take an orange – which cost just 16p each at Asda – and microwave it for less than a minute.
