Coming Up: Fact-Checking the First Trump-Biden Presidential Debate

Bloomberg News will be checking the facts during the first presidential debate Tuesday on the economy, Covid-19, election integrity, the Supreme Court and more.

More than a dozen reporters and editors will work to lay out what is true — and what isn’t — in the candidates’ claims during their 90-minute face-off. Moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News is not planning on fact checking the candidates in real time, so the facts will be laid out here.

The format is simple. The debate is set to run from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET with each candidate standing at a lecturn, taking turns answering questions for two minutes each. They will also have the opportunity to respond to each other.
