Tool removes baked-on oven grease ‘in minutes’ with ‘no scrubbing’ required
Oven cleaning is an off-putting job because it’s synonymous with hours of scrubbing, but there may be easier ways to go about the task.
According to cleaning enthusiasts on the Facebook group for Mrs Hinch Cleaning’s tips, one tool has come in handy for the most overwhelming cases of oven cleaning.
The longer stains are left unchecked the longer they will have to “set” on the surface of the oven.
While many use specialised cleaning products to tackle this problem others try to resort to chemical-free solutions, including vinegar and baking soda.
Both products will work wonders to remove the stains if time isn’t an issue, though they may still require a fair amount of scrubbing.
When one person recently took to the Facebook group for cleaning enthusiasts, they were recommended a scraping tool to get the job done in minutes.
Referring to the “baked on” residue that had set on the poster’s oven, one Facebook user wrote: “A hob scraper will have it off in minutes, no scrubbing. X”
Not only does the tool save cleaners a significant amount of time and effort, but it will also save them a fortune on cleaning products.
What’s more, the has come highly recommended for other tasks too.
In a recent post on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips group, one member asked for a solution to the “spots of gloss” she had recently spotted on her laminate flooring, to which one user responded that a hob scraper would be perfect for the task.
The handy tool is designed to remove tough stains and burnt-off food from both the stoves’ burners and rings, setting back buyers a mere £3.75 on Amazon.
According to the product’s official website: “It typically consists of a handle and a blade made of metal or plastic, with some models featuring a retractable blade for added convenience.”
Some cleaners have reported additional marks on their stove after use, but these can be tackled with the application of nail polish remover.
