Cyclist ‘taking full advantage of the change to the Highway Code’ gets instant karma -everybody is on the driver’s side | The Sun

A VIDEO of a cyclist "taking full advantage of the change to the Highway Code" has gone viral on social media.

The video was uploaded to Twitter by @FabulousEmmaLou and shows a weaving cyclist riding out into the middle of the road.

The Tweet reads: "F***ing cyclist taking full advantage of the change to the Highway Code."

There's even a moment when the cyclist could have caused an accident as he strays onto the opposite side of the road.

Towards the end of the video, karma hits as the man swerves to the left and smashes into the pavement.

The man looks injured as a consequence of the accident.

The Highway Code now says cyclists can ride in the centre of their lane on quieter roads, in slower-moving traffic and at the approach to junctions or road narrowings.

But they shouldn't cycle in the middle of the lane on a fast-moving road, country road or roads with lots of bends.

The video was published on Twitter and has had nearly a million views.

It was filmed using a dashcam in a car following the rider, the driver of which bursts into laughter as the rider falls off.
