Inside my life as a double-decker bus driver – from my driving seat 'office' to dealing with nightmare passengers | The Sun

A DOUBLE-decker bus driver has shared an insight into his life – from his driving seat "office" to dealing with nightmare passengers.

Andre used to drive buses in London and dedicated his TikTok to humorous videos about his career.

From joking about spending lunchtimes all alone to tips on how to read a bus timetable, @DeckerLondon doesn't take himself too seriously on his account.

In the video Andre said the job can be tough and explained you need to concentrate all of the time.

"I'm going to tell you the truth ok driving a bus in London is hard because you've just got to be 100 per cent full [of] concentration," he said.

"[If you don't] you are going to whack the bus, damage the rooftop hitting low bridges, damaging the panels [or] hurting somebody inside the bus.

He also revealed the radio they have isn't a musical one and only brings in messages about routes or any other work related issues.

"A bus is not a car so in that respect buses cant always speed, buses can't always get to your point in like five minutes," he continued.

"Give yourself plenty of time and we will get there safely and happy hopefully."

Andre also documented one of his night shifts as a bus driver.
