Mrs Hinch, real name Sophie Hinchliffe, rose to fame after she started to share cleaning tips online. Now with more than four million Instagram followers, the social media sensation continues to inspire her fans to clean their homes. Fans of the guru regularly take to dedicated Facebook pages to share their own hacks, including removing clothing stains.
Taking to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group, one woman asked for some advice when it came to removing clothing stains.
Kym Martin wrote: “Any tips on how to get this out of the top? Have already tried washing it with stain remover but they have stayed there.”
The longer a stain is left, the harder it will be to remove.
Luckily, group members offered Kym lots of advice, including product recommendations.
Jacqueline Dickson wrote: “Put lemon juice overnight and then wash as normal!”
Lemon juice has a natural whitening action and can work on lightly coloured clothing.
It can however, stain darker clothes further.
Corine Maxwell said: “Add some lemon juice and dilute it with water and gently rub the stain.

“Once the stain has gone, put it in a hot wash to clean it and it should be gone, absolutely amazing.”
Lena Dove commented: “Agree, just definitely make sure to dilute it otherwise it could bleach it more, great hack.”
Other group members suggested using a dedicated cleaning spray to target the stain.
Lauren Cuzzy said: “If it is grease, use Elbow Grease and then put it in the sunlight.”
Carol McCuskey added: “Elbow Grease bought in most supermarkets, spray and wash and removes any stains, it is brilliant.”
