Cleaning your radiator may not sound like a priority compared to other cleaning chores, but it can make a huge difference to your home. In the summer months, your radiators can gather lots of dust and can start to look discoloured if they’re not cleaned regularly. Now, fans of cleaning star Mrs Hinch have shared a cheap solution for cleaning radiators that will also leave your home smelling “amazing”.

Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, garnered popularity after sharing her cleaning tips and recommendations on social media and TV.

The cleaning enthusiast has managed to gain over 4.1 million followers on Instagram.

Fans of hers have created their own social media groups dedicated to cleaning and tidying tips.

On one of the groups, a Facebook user asked: “What does everyone use fabric softener for, other than washing clothes?”

The post was inundated with comments from fellow cleaning enthusiasts who said they used it to clean their radiators.

One user said she put fabric conditioner on a cloth then wipes the radiators “in the winter”.

She added: “House smells lovely when it heats up.”

Another person said: “I use a damp cloth and use it on my radiator.”

They added: “Smells amazing when the heating is on.”

A second user penned: “I wipe my leather sofa down with it with a little water and radiators in the winter. Smells lovely when they heat up.”
