Ben Hillman home: Inside A Place in the Sun presenter’s stunning, renovated home

A Place in the Sun: Ben Hillman says couple are ‘pragmatic’

TV presenter, home designer and DIY expert Ben Hillman has worked on programmes across Channel 4 and ITV. Now a presenter on A Place in the Sun, Ben has become more well-known for his property expertise. In recent months, Ben has taken to his Instagram account to show fans how he has been decorating his home.

So what does Ben Hillman’s home look like?

Bathroom

Ben has been working on his bathroom for months, according to his Instagram stories.

A picture taken last summer showed the “nearly finished” product.

Ben revealed on the social media platform that the “makeover” only cost around £500.

Unlike most bathrooms, Ben has opted for pale pink walls which give it a warm feel.

The pale pink walls work perfectly with the white tiles, exposed wooden bath panel and traditional white pedestal and basin.

A pink Orla Kiely-style bathmat with a white leaf print helps accentuate the walls.

Lavish house plants also decorate the room along with Scandi-style exposed wood shelves.

The bathroom has VELUX-style windows which further brighten the room.

Dining Room

Fans don’t really get a glimpse of Ben’s kitchen but his dining room is stunning.

This room is also decorated in a Scandinavian style with exposed wood and simple colour tones.

The pine table in the centre of the room is surrounded black, wooden chairs.

The table looks like it could be Ercol, although this could be a style choice.

The room has low ceilings with pendant lights and beautiful white, grooved cupboards.

Ben updated the cupboard doors himself which also have leather handles.

Walnut shelves can be seen next to the cupboards with a plethora of photos, records and crockery on them.

Living Room

Ben’s living room, which he snapped on Instagram in the summer, is something you’d find in a model home.

The room has one dark blue wall, cream blinds, a mustard-yellow sofa and parquet wood flooring.

The rest of the room is painted white with a beautiful painting by artist Kate Scott hanging above the fireplace.

The room is light, modern and has plenty of indoor plants which add another splash of colour to the room.

A Place in the Sun will air today at 3pm on Channel 4.
