She wrote: “So time to get the window ledges/frames off my hinchlist! As you can see I haven’t done them for a while. They need a clean.”

Taking her personalised trigger spray bottle, Sophie sprays the window ledge and sill.

She added: “So I will be using a bottle of washing up liquid and warm water mixed together in my spray bottle and one of my Sponge daddy sponges.”

The cleaning guru then sprayed her homemade solution onto the ledge and wiped it clean with her sponge.

Sophie said: “These little sponges are amazing! They’re from the scrub daddy family! I’ve got very sponge from that range.

“I know lots of you already have them but just a reminder that they are scratch free guys.

“They’re dual sided too…One side is your scrubbing side and the other is ResoFoam! So perfect for this kind of job!”

These small sponges can be picked up from retailers like B&M and Home Bargains and they come in a pack of four.

Mrs Hinch explains how she uses a scented washing up liquid so that it leaves a lasting freshness and she opted for a eucalyptus scent.

She finished off her cleaning routine by using a dry sponge to wipe the window sills and ledge down.

She said: “Then I use a dry sponge daddy just to finish it all off! They come in a pack of 4 anyway…All done…Perfect!”

Mrs Hinch fans have also created their own social media pages where they share their cleaning tips and tricks with others.

Posting a video to the Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It group on Facebook, which has more than 175,000 members, a Mrs Hinch fan shared her homemade window cleaning solution which removes smears and streaks from her windows.

Similar to Mrs Hinch’s hack, she also uses washing up liquid and water to clean her windows but she adds a small amount of fabric softener into the mix.

People rushed to the comments on the page, asking her why she uses fabric softener.

She replied saying that using washing up liquid alone would leave marks on the windows and she has found that adding some fabric softener to the liquid leaves the glass smear-free.

She buffs the cleaning mix into the window with a Minky M Cloth for Glass & Window.

It costs around £3 but it is large in size and guaranteed to last for a very long time with fans branding it as their favourite cleaning cloth of all time.

The company behind the bright green cloth, Minky said: “M Cloth Glass & Window is made from millions of tightly woven high density microfibres, which quickly remove dirt and grease from windows and other glass surfaces.

“It’s generous size makes light work on large surface areas, leaving a crystal clear finish every time.
The Mrs Hinch fan then finishes the window cleaning by using a squeegeeing to remove the excess water, revealing how spotless the windows are.

The woman revealed that she cleaned all of her windows, window sills and window ledges in about 40 minutes with this cheap homemade product.
