Zoflora has become popular since Mrs Hinch revealed it was one of the favourite products.

Zoflora is a concentrated disinfectant that claims to kill 99.9 percent of bacteria on surfaces.

The product starts from £1 a bottle, and is then diluted in water to create the cleaning product.

There are many different fragrances available including their new summer release of Coconut and Lime, inspired by the classic fragrance of Pina Colada.

The disinfectant can be used on many different surfaces including to clean the utility room.

Zoflora says: “Zoflora is ideal for cleaning areas such as utility rooms where other household tasks are regularly carried out.

“Our multi-purpose concentrated disinfectant can be used throughout the home to combat the spread of bacteria and viruses.”

Cupboard doors

Zoflora says: “You might not think the cupboard doors would be the dirtiest of places, but those handles and edges can be a secret breeding ground for bacteria and viruses – especially if these areas have come into contact with dirty hands.

“Spray clean by adding 2 capfuls of your favourite Zoflora fragrance into a 750ml trigger spray bottle containing water then spray directly onto the area and wipe over with a cloth to disinfect.”

Floors

Zoflora says: “Floor surfaces see some of the highest amounts of daily foot traffic, especially in busy households. Dirty shoes or pets who have been outdoors can spread bacteria and viruses, so it’s vital that floors are disinfected.

“To mop clean, add 4 capfuls of Zoflora per 1.5L of water into a mop bucket and use the diluted solution to mop over and disinfect hard surfaces.”

Washing machine

Zoflora says: “We’ve all noticed that familiar stale washing machine smell from time to time, but did you know it can be caused by a buildup inside the drum?

“Using Zoflora can keep your washing machine disinfected and fresh, inside and out. For the outside, simply soak a cloth in a solution of 1 capful of Zoflora and 400ml of warm water, then wipe down the washing machine exterior.

Pet baskets

The disinfectant company says: “We all love our furry friends, but their carry baskets and beds can be the source of some unpleasant household odours. Get rid of bad odours and germs by using Zoflora regularly.

“Just dilute 1 capful of your choice of Zoflora disinfectant into 400ml of warm water and wipe down pet baskets and beds with the solution.”

Surfaces

Simply wiping down surfaces with diluted Zoflora can be used to kill harmful bacteria and viruses that may be present on the surfaces in your home.

Cloths and sponges

Zoflora says: “Bacteria LOVE dishcloths and sponges, more than you might think. The items you use for cleaning are actually perfect breeding grounds themselves for nasty bugs, and if you don’t disinfect them regularly, you can spread these germs around the kitchen.

“Get into the habit of leaving your dishcloths and sponges to soak at the end of every day. Simply fill your sink with warm water and add 1 capful of Zoflora for every 400ml of water, then leave your cleaning items to soak overnight.

“By morning, your whole kitchen will smell fragrant and fresh!”

Cleaning surfaces around the home should be done on a regular basis to ensure that germs don’t spread further around the home.
