The video was uploaded to TikTok by @zvooeee and viewers were shocked after discovering it.

For this hack, you'll need to pour rubbing alcohol on a rag and then scrub the rag on the windscreen.

The ice on your windscreen will melt away in seconds.

The video has had more than 30,000 views and nearly 2,000 comments.

However, users believe that there are better ways of defrosting your windscreen.

One said: "Heat up the car and it will melt off."

The user who uploaded the video replied: "Sometimes, I'm running late to work and don't have time."

Another person said: "Hot water in a bag works well too."

And the user answered: "It can cause cracks."

A third pointed out: "We just use de-icer spray, it works better."

Rule 229 of the Highway Code states: "Drivers must be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows.

"Make sure that your mirrors are clear and the windows are demisted thoroughly."

If drivers fail to demist their windscreen, they can be fined up to £1,000 and get three points on their licence.
