Sykes Cottages comes good with holiday rollover mix up
“One of us was furloughed because of the virus, so instead of cancelling we thought we would still do it as we had paid, only for the same time next year,” David told Crusader.
The three-night seaside flat rental was through Sykes Cottages.
“A helpful lady there agreed we could rearrange, and for the same price,” he explained when asking for our help.

“But the confirmation email we then received showed the price had shot up and it would cost another £209. It was very alarming.”
Sykes says it did email David, there was confusion on a new date chosen, but this had been rectified.
It had removed an admin fee on his account, would credit a £6 discrepancy and “price matched it all to what it should have been”.
“I wasn’t clear about what was going,” responded David when he updated Crusader last week.
“But the company has just confirmed everything in an email and we are back to where we were. Thank you. I look forward to getting the £6 too.”
