Kate and William once paid £750 to live in Wales – but it’s now double the price
The Prince and Princess of Wales moved from their opulent 20-room, four-story Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace last year to live primarily in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
The move occurred in the summer of 2022 with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The Wales family has resided in a number of country retreats in addition to their charming new four-bedroom house.
William and Kate once lived in a rented farmhouse in Anglesey, Wales on the Bodorgan Estate during the Princess’s first pregnancy with Prince George, and it’s much less expensive than fans might think.
The couple paid Lord and Lady Meyrick about £750 per month to rent the wonderful home between 2011 and 2013.
The Anglesey property included private beach access and lovely views of Newborough Forest, which William and Kate were photographed walking through in 2019.
Prince George, who was born in 2013, spent the first few months of his life in this four-bedroom Borgordan Estate house rented by William and Kate.
Before the Prince and Princess of Wales moved into Kensington Palace in late 2013, the future King who is currently nine years old spent his earliest months in Wales.
Rightmove’s most recent listings indicate that renting the royal couple’s four-bedroom home now would cost fans twice as much as what William and Kate paid 12 years ago.

Currently, the lowest offering starts at £1,150 a month. Other residences go up to a whopping £1,400 per month.
This accounts to nearly double the £750 that Kate and William paid in rent between 2011 and 2013.
According to reports, the Prince of Wales relocated into the budget-friendly hideaway in Wales after being stationed in Anglesey to undergo training for the Royal Air Force.
During this time, Kate was employed by her parents’ business as a website designer, photographer, and relationship manager.

Therefore, the Princess moved in with William a few months after he moved in 2011. Even though the Prince has called Anglesey “an immensely special place,” his wife acknowledged that she experienced loneliness while there.
In 2020, when visiting a children’s centre in Cardiff, Kate disclosed she had experienced isolation after giving birth to Prince George in 2013.
She said: “I was chatting to some of the mums, I had just had George and William was still working with search and rescue, so we came up here when George was a tiny, tiny little baby, in the middle of Anglesey.
“It was so isolated, so cut off, I didn’t have my family around me, he was doing night shifts, so if only I’d had a centre like this at a certain time.”
