Inside the UK town where Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have bought a home

New-York based A-listers Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have reportedly bought a £1.5 million property in a quaint Welsh town home to the football team co-owned by Reynolds.

The pair famously live in the Pound Ridge neighborhood of New York, where they purchased a home just a few months after they started dating.

Though they still own their home in the US, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds reportedly branched out across the Atlantic to purchase a new house in Marford after welcoming their fourth child.

The quaint town, which spans 750 miles of land, is renowned for its Gothic architecture, picturesque footpaths, and Grade II-listed buildings dotted across the countryside.

Speaking of the pair’s trans-Atlantic move, a source previously disclosed to The Sun: “Ryan is moving to Marford, and it’s all the locals can talk about. His house is the poshest on the road.”

Reynolds and Blake are notoriously private about their daily life, but Reynolds recently volunteered information about his whereabouts, in a social media post captioned: “It’s pretty damn cold in the UK.”

The Instagram post showed the Deadpool actor wearing a thick hooded sweater as he walked down a driveway surrounded by green fields.

It is rumoured the pair purchased the property in Wales to live closer to the football club Reynolds has co-owned with Rob McElhenney since 2020.

Welsh football club Wrexham won promotion to the Football League in April, which would explain the timing of Reynold’s move.

The family’s four-bedroom abode is reportedly located ten minutes away from the stadium where the Wrexham AFC team plays.

Though amenities in the surrounding villages are sparse, locals were quick to catch wind of the A-listers’ arrival and hope it will put Wrexham “on the map”.

One of the owners of the town’s oldest Bakerym Gerrard’s said: “I think it’s brilliant news that they’re buying a house here and it’s about time people recognised what a wonderful place Wrexham is.

“We appreciate everything they’ve done to put us on the map.

“We’re hoping Blake will make a visit to Gerrard’s and we’re sure that we can tempt her with a few things like freshly made local Welsh cakes and some pastries for the little ones.”
